Anne Milne is an award-winning Scottish filmmaker. Her film María's Way was nominated for the European Film Award 2010 and won a BAFTA New Talent award as well as playing at numerous international film festivals. She has worked with scientists on a number of commissions, including Into Deep Space with astronomers from The Royal Observatory Edinburgh and St. Andrew’s University. This film was featured at the Imagine Science Film Festival, Dublin edition where it was awarded an Honorable Mention. Her film Invasion, made during a residency at the Centre for Immunity, Infection and Evolution at Edinburgh University was featured in the 2015 edition of Imagine Science Film Festival in New York, where Anne also took part in the first edition of Symbiosis. In 2017 she directed and edited feature-length The World In One City which documents 70 years of the Edinburgh International Festival. In 2019 Anne directed Adventures in Dementia, commissioned by STV and produced by Scottish Documentary Institute. It was broadcast in June 2019. In 2019 she also traveled to Sri Lanka as an awardee of Sura Medura Artist Residency. She has also been co-teaching documentary workshops with SDI/British Council in Libya, Pakistan, Jordan, Indonesia, and China. She is also co-founder of DocKlub (a monthly support group for documentary filmmakers) and the DOCMA Collective (a short documentary collaborative initiative).
