Farha Alam, based in Bombay works as a multimedia artist. She blends traditional and new technology, skills and composes her expressions in the form of animations, video art, still artworks and graphic design.

Alam is curious about various forms of visual expression and and what happens when one plays with these forms and how one can harmonise them. She works with tech like cameras, animation softwares  and hand made skills and custom made equipment like  a glass multiplane, stop motion, cutting, painting, coloring, arranging to create visual art.

She favours intuitive play over constructed narratives and ultimately then, her art derives from early memories, visions, mythical-folk worlds and a deep search for meaning found in symbols and the abstract.
